Description
Exclusive unreleased recording of Salvador Dalí painting in his Port Lligat studio.
We can describe it as a homemade film, unreleased, shot in a documentary style in 1960. It was filmed in 8mm format, is silent, with a length of about 45 meters without breaks or cuts, has a duration of 11 minutes and 40 seconds, and despite being 63 years old, it is in very good condition.
In it, we can see the master painting in a truthful and intimate manner in his Port Lligat studio, creating the work “Portrait of Juan Pareja fixing a string on his mandolin.” Perhaps this is the only footage in existence where Dalí can be seen painting without any performance, making it a truly unique recording.
